Description
Howard County, Maryland seeks a biosolids management firm to accept, transport, and distribute biosolids from the Little Patuxent Water Reclamation Plant for beneficial uses or further offsite processing, preferably in Maryland, or disposal as a last resort, in accordance with regulatory standards. The contract includes management of HoCo Bio, an Exceptional Quality dried biosolids product, not distributed through direct sales, and backup disposition of other residuals generated at the plant. Management methods include routine land application programs, further offsite processing, and landfill disposal as a backup. The contract duration is one year with five one-year renewal options.
