The City of Raleigh is seeking vendors to provide a comprehensive Safety Shoe Program for city staff across multiple departments. - Government Buyer: - City of Raleigh, Human Resources Department (Safety Division), with participation from Raleigh Water Department and Solid Waste Services - Products Requested: - Approximately 1,600 pairs of six-inch work boots (plain toe, steel toecap or equivalent, Cambrelle Lining, ASTM Standard safety toe, EH rated, multiple widths and styles) - 120 pairs of eight-inch work boots (similar specifications, two styles) - 60 pairs of lowcut shoes (steel toecap or equivalent, 60-65% leather, no canvas, two styles) - 785 pairs of Class 3 protective footwear for Raleigh Water (ASTM F-2412 and OSHA 1910.136 compliant, six styles, men’s and women’s sizes) - 250 pairs of six-inch work boots and 25 pairs of eight-inch pull-on work boots for Solid Waste Services (similar specifications) - Services Requested: - Mobile shoe truck services (minimum two trucks, product storage, customer fitting, daily restocking, scheduled at city locations) - Electronic data management system (tracks purchases, employee info, vouchers, receipts, and generates reports) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Retail store access within 30 miles of Raleigh Municipal Building - Electronic billing and data management - All footwear must meet ASTM and OSHA safety standards - Multiple styles and sizes required for each product type - No specific OEMs or brands are mandated; vendors may propose any compliant manufacturer - Estimated total quantities: over 2,800 pairs of safety footwear - Contract may be renewed for up to five years
