Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce has initiated a countervailing duty investigation on imports of carbon and alloy steel wire rod from Algeria. The investigation concerns allegations that the Government of Algeria is providing countervailable subsidies to producers of wire rod in Algeria. The period of investigation covers January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025. Interested parties are invited to submit comments on the scope of the investigation by May 18, 2026.
