The Defense Health Agency's Global Emerging Infections Surveillance (GEIS) Branch is seeking information from industry on modernizing its Illumina sequencing platform across global military laboratories. - Government Buyer: - Defense Health Agency (DHA), Armed Forces Health Surveillance Division, Global Emerging Infections Surveillance Branch - Managed by Medical R&D Contracting Division 2 at Fort Detrick, MD - OEMs and Vendors: - Illumina (highlighted as the proprietary technology provider for sequencing systems and reagents) - Products/Services Requested: - 18 Illumina MiSeq i100 Plus Next-Generation Sequencing systems - Includes standard operating components, accessories, and proprietary DRAGEN onboard data analysis - Sequencing reagents and consumables compatible with MiSeq i100 Plus - Must be room-temperature stable to eliminate cold-chain requirements - On-site installation, operational qualification, and system training for each system - Annual Silver service maintenance (preventative maintenance, emergency repair, software updates, remote support) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Emphasis on proprietary Illumina technology and DRAGEN onboard analysis - Reagents must be stable at room temperature for global deployment - Secure operation within Department of War environments - Delivery, installation, and support required at 18 CONUS and OCONUS laboratory sites, including locations in Japan, South Korea, Guam, Thailand, Germany, Peru, Kenya, Georgia, Ghana, and Singapore
