Specifications: Metal Twin XL Bed Style: Twin XL Bed, Steel Deck Dimensions: 39in W x 80in D x 34 1/2in H Materials: Steel Finish: Thermoset epoxy powder coated Metal Color: Black Features• Steel head and foot frame w/ metal steel deck that is attached with a hook-in, wedge-lock, or bolted system with 1 piece• Bed will accommodate a 36in W x 80in L mattress.• Foot frame functions as a ladder when beds are bunked• Bed has five height adjustments evenly spaced from 4in on center with one height adjustment allowing for a minimum of 20in clearance between the bottom of the deck and the finished floor.• Beds shall be provided with the steel fusion and joining methods as tested.• Two metal bunking brackets per steel head/foot frame set• Shall have a minimum 1in H lip on the deck to secure the mattress• Adjustable nylon glides• Permanent manufacturer’s label includes month and year product was manufactured followed by the acronym UH Construction Bed End Construction Bed Ends shall be steel with 36in x 80in sleep surface. Bed Ends shall be 4 slat ladder style with 2in x 2in posts to use with a bolt on style. Sets shall include one set of bunking brackets. Bunking Brackets U-shaped bunking brackets shall be made of metal and secured to bed posts with tamper proof securement bolts. Bunking brackets shall match bed ends in powder coat color. Steel All Steel shall be cold rolled, oil treated, dimension stock steel. Low-carbon steel shall be ASTM A366 standard with the highest-grade carbon quality available. All steel shall be commercial grade quality cold-rolled steel grade conforming to international standards. Weight per sheet in lbs shall be 120lbs per 60in x 144in size sheet. All structural components shall be constructed with 16 gauge or thicker steel. 20 gauge or thicker shall be used on remaining components. Metal Finish Finish shall be thermoset epoxy powder coated finishes electro-statically applied utilizing environmentally friendly, state of the art, electro-static painting processes. All surfaces shall be cleaned, washed, and sprayed with top sealers prior to the 21-stepfinishing process. Each component shall then be powder coated with an epoxy/polyester hybrid finish with a 2.0-3.0 dry mil thickness and3H hardness. The finished surface shall be smooth and uniform. Welding All Welding shall be smooth to the touch and visually without dimple or indentation, which would cause visual adversity or effect structural integrity of the tubing. When full welds are call for spot welds will not be acceptable. Spot welds can be used but will be no less than 1in length.
