The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, is seeking industry input for the repair and rehabilitation of Tainter Valves at two major federal dam facilities in Oregon. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District (Northwestern Division) - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named in the solicitation - Products/Services Requested: - Repair and rehabilitation of three Tainter Valves: - At least one valve (TV1) at The Dalles Lock and Dam (TDA) - Two valves (TV3 & TV4) at John Day Lock and Dam (JDA) - Scope includes: - Structural weld repairs - Replacement of valve seals, seal plates, and seal plate hardware - Installation of armor plates - Replacement of self-lubricating bushings for lifting eye and trunnion ends - As-built dimensional control surveys at removal, post-repair, and pre-reinstallation - Removal, transport to fabrication shop, and reinstallation of valves - All fabrication must meet AWS D1.1 welding standards and AISC certifications - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Work must be performed at two distinct federal dam locations - Strict adherence to welding and fabrication standards (AWS D1.1, AISC) - Dimensional surveys required at multiple project stages to ensure fit and alignment - Estimated contract value is $1M-$5M - Firm-Fixed Price contract anticipated
