The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is seeking a contractor to deliver a Correctional Fire Brigade Training Program for BOP personnel. - Government Buyer: - Federal Bureau of Prisons, National Acquisitions Section, Washington, DC - Products/Services Requested: - Correctional Fire Brigade Training Program to certify BOP personnel as Interior Structural Fire Brigade Members under NFPA 1081 standards - Training includes lectures and practical exercises on PPE, SCBA, fire behavior, search and rescue, ventilation, fire extinguishers, fire hose, fire department equipment, sprinkler systems, hazardous materials awareness, and NIMS - Contractor must provide certified instructors, training materials, and certificates of completion - Classes capped at 20 students, with an estimated 4–5 sessions per year - Base year includes 4 sessions, with four option years (4 sessions each), and a 6-month extension (2 sessions), for a potential total of 22 sessions over 66 months - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Training must meet or exceed NFPA 1081 standards for Interior Structural Fire Brigade Members - Training to be conducted at the contractor's facility - Small business set-aside, including EDWOSB and SDVOSB - Instructor-to-student ratio must ensure adequate supervision - Contractor responsible for all training materials and certification documentation - No specific OEMs or equipment vendors are named; the procurement is exclusively for training services
