This notice announces the Air Force's intent to sole source a Mustang Dynamometer upgrade and related emissions testing equipment for the 355 LRS/LGLOR unit in Tucson, Arizona. - Sole source procurement to Mustang Dynamometer (OEM) - No other vendors or manufacturers are considered due to lack of government-owned manufacturing data - Award will not be delayed for source approval - Equipment and services to be procured: - PowerDyne Control System (1 unit) - Necessary Package (1 unit) - 5-Gas Analyzer System for heavy duty continuous sampling (1 unit) - Onsite installation assistance and training (1 unit) - Place of performance is a USAF facility in Tucson, Arizona - Commercial opportunity is limited to Mustang Dynamometer as the sole source - No competing products or alternative vendors are identified in the notice

Description

Intent to sole source to Mustang Dynameter, for Mustang Dynameter emissions testing equipment.

This is not a solicitation and quotes are not being accepted at the moment.

355 LRS/LGLOR is requesting the procurement of a Mustang Dynameter Upgrade. 

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.103-1. Government intends to solicit to procure the below listed item. The Government does not possess or cannot provide the data necessary to manufacture the item:

Mustang Dynameter repair/ component upgrade

All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within 2 work days after date of publication of this sources sought notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Approval of a source is required. 355 CONS will not delay award while Source Approval is pending.

The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. 

This notice serves as the synopsis and notice of intent to sole-source. The Government does not possess the necessary information to manufacture the equipment/items solicited hereunder from any source other than the OEM.
