Description
Guilford County Purchasing Department is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide de-escalation training for all sworn deputies and detention officers in the two County jails. The awarded provider will also train ten personnel to become trainers for future staff and provide refresher training. Training will be conducted quarterly over two years and include basic and advanced crisis prevention and intervention techniques approved by the US Department of Justice. The training aims to improve skills in safely working with individuals experiencing a mental health crisis and reduce injury or harm during interactions.
