Guilford County Purchasing Department is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide a promotional process for current Deputy Sheriffs and Detention Service Officers for the ranks of Detention Lieutenant, Detention Sergeant, Sworn Lieutenant, and Sworn Sergeant of the Guilford County Sheriffs Office. The firm must cover the cost of producing and administering the assessments, provide preparation classes for oral and written promotional processes, compile comprehensive results including demographics, supervise every aspect of testing, validate all testing processes according to legal and scientific standards, and provide or contract an expert for legal testimony regarding the validity and job-relatedness of the testing processes. The contract is initially for three years with options to renew for two additional one-year periods, totaling up to five years.
