Description

Guilford County is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide expertise in the administration, management, and implementation of Health and Welfare Benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Wellness programs, Income Protection Benefits such as Life Insurance, Supplemental Life, Long Term Care, Disability (STD/LTD), and Voluntary Benefits like Critical Illness Insurance, Accident Insurance, and Hospital Indemnity plans. The contract is intended to be a consultant/broker arrangement to maximize the value of voluntary benefit offerings and mitigate consulting/administrative fees. The County maintains a self-funded medical plan with stop loss coverage and seeks to enhance administrative capabilities and voluntary benefit offerings. The initial contract term is three years with options to renew for two additional one-year periods, totaling up to five years.
