USAF Wide Area Network (WAN) Industry RFI for Large-Scale Connectivity and Services

The U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) is seeking industry input for a large-scale Wide Area Network (WAN) solution to connect over 50 government and commercial sites. - Scope & Requirements: - WAN must support both layer 2 and layer 3 transport services - Connectivity speeds up to 100 Gbps, with high availability (99.99% SLA) and 4-hour mean time to repair (MTTR) - Encryption requirements include IPsec and MACsec - Diverse and redundant fiber circuit pathways required - Integration with government, commercial, cloud, SATCOM, and Defense Industrial Base (DIB) partner sites - Each site will have unique service level agreements and connectivity needs - Services Needed: - Network transport services, integration, and installation coordination - Lifecycle management of endpoints and circuits - 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC) support for monitoring, troubleshooting, and site visits - Circuit procurement and management (commercial, DISA, etc.) - Technical data package and regular reporting deliverables - Compliance: - Must adhere to NSA directives and government security requirements - Locations: - Work will be performed at various CONUS (Continental U.S.) and OCONUS (Outside Continental U.S.) locations, including government and commercial facilities - No specific OEMs, vendors, or product part numbers are listed; industry is invited to propose solutions and approaches

Description

AFLCMC has a requirement to stand-up a Wide Area Network (WAN) of layer 2 and layer 3 transport services to connect 50 or more sites of government and commercial facilities (ex. cloud data centers, SATCOM, and DIB partners). Each connected site will require varying service level agreements and connectivity needs to other sites.
