The U.S. Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal is seeking innovative, production-ready Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) for Battalion Reconnaissance missions. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal (ACC-RSA), Capability Program Executive for Aviation - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; the Army is seeking commercial solutions from any qualified manufacturer - Products/Services Requested: - Group 2 VTOL UAS (each system to include two air vehicles, two ground control stations, batteries with charging stations, and ancillary equipment) - Air Vehicles: VTOL, <55 lbs, 40 km line-of-sight datalink, 5-hour endurance with minimum 5 lbs payload (including sensors and lethal munitions) - Ground Control Stations: Two per system - Modular Mission Payloads: EO/IR sensor, laser pointer, lethal munitions integration, communications extension, electronic warfare, laser designator - Ancillary Equipment: Antennas, on-the-move support systems, tactical transport cases (max 102 lbs each, 86x56x60 inches) - Technical Manuals, Interface/Integration Data, Commercial Price List, Supply/Inventory Data - Logistics and Sustainment Support: Technical reachback support, training materials, and qualified instructors - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Enhanced government data rights for repair, modification, and interoperability - Systems must be modular, rugged, all-weather, and transportable in tactical cases - Encrypted FIPS-140 datalink required - Interoperability with Tactical Assault Kit and Net Warrior devices - Emphasis on cybersecurity, supply chain risk management, and operational security - No guaranteed quantities; procurement is based on mission needs and available funding - Delivery and services may occur at both CONUS and OCONUS locations

Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Redstone Arsenal (ACC-RSA) is issuing this Call for Solutions (abbreviated “C4S” hereafter) against Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) W58RGZ-26-S-C001 under the authority of 10 U.S.C. § 3458. This C4S will competitively acquire innovative commercial, Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) for the Battalion Reconnaissance UAS effort described below. The Government reserves the right to alter or cancel this call at any time.

The purpose of this effort is to provide Battalion Commanders and their organizations with an organic Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition (RSTA) capability. This effort aligns with the Army's modernization priorities to operate in Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) and the Department of War's (DoW) strategic objective of achieving Drone Dominance. Through this C4S, the Army ensures that industry remains informed of its changing needs, fostering ongoing investment and innovation in UAS technologies to address future opportunities.
