Houston School Road Full Reconstruction Solicitation – City of Lancaster

The City of Lancaster Public Works Department is seeking proposals for the full reconstruction of Houston School Road, spanning approximately 0.56 miles from Danieldale Road to I-20 Service Road. - Scope of Work: - Complete demolition and reconstruction of the concrete street - Installation of turn-lanes at intersections (excluding median openings and turn-lanes for driveways) - Construction using 10-inch, 4,000 psi concrete with #4 rebars at 18" center-to-center on a 10-inch cement-treated base - Installation of 6-inch monolithic concrete curbs, road striping, and erosion control measures - Adjustment of manhole lids and water valve covers, and asphaltic joint sealing - Contractor Responsibilities: - Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and project management - Develop and implement traffic control plans and obtain all necessary permits - Conduct geotechnical, construction, and materials testing for quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) - Adhere to City of Lancaster construction standards and provide a two-year maintenance bond after completion - Proposal Requirements: - Submit a not-to-exceed (NTE) total project cost and an itemized cost breakdown - Contractors must be licensed, insured, and able to provide required bonds - Minimum five years of experience with similar municipal projects and at least three completed street projects over $1,000,000 - Electronic bid submission through the city's procurement portal - No specific OEMs or proprietary products are specified, as this is a general construction project.
