Description
Hillsborough County intends to recommend the award of a special procurement to Sun State International Trucks, LLC for a one-time purchase of two Wabash trailers with refurbished Maxon BMR-5500 solar panel charging for LG batteries, two Hyundai single axel converters, and two Hyundai lead trailers with refurbished Maxon BMR-5500 solar panel charging for LG batteries. The procurement is made under Section 3-207 of the County’s Procurement Policy as Sun State International Trucks, LLC is the only vendor able to deliver the required trailers by June 30, 2026. This procurement uses a State of Florida grant, allowing the Fire Rescue Department to allocate their funds elsewhere. The County reserves the right to extend the time period, adjust the scope, and increase the award as needed. This notice is not a request for competitive bids or proposals, but challenges to the intended award may be submitted by the close date.
