The work includes demolition of the freestanding Garage and south wing of the Retreat Building, stabilization of the remaining structure, masonry restoration, window, door, and slate roof repairs, construction of new collections storage/workroom space, and various mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, lighting, and site improvements.
