The City of Spokane is seeking proposals for a comprehensive garment and linen rental and laundry service contract to support various city departments. - Government Buyer: - City of Spokane, Purchasing Department - OEMs Referenced (standards for garments): - Carhartt - Red Kap Industries - DuPont (Nomex) - 3M (reflective striping) - Products/Services Requested: - Rental, laundering, and delivery of industrial workwear, flame-resistant clothing, high-visibility apparel, jackets, towels, linens, mats, rags, and related janitorial items - Garment types include: industrial coveralls (cotton, poly/cotton, insulated, flame-resistant, enhanced visibility), work shirts (standard, enhanced visibility, flame-resistant), work pants (standard, cargo, flame-resistant), jackets (various types, including enhanced visibility), high-visibility t-shirts and coats, and specialty items (lab coats, shop coats, smocks) - Linens and towels: bath towels, bath blankets, shop towels, bar/dish towels, microfiber towels, glass towels, pillowcases, thermal blankets - Miscellaneous: entry mats (various sizes), dust mop heads and frames, wet mops, handles, laundry bags and stands, fender covers - Services: alterations, pick-up and delivery, garment tracking/reporting, application of City logos and name tags, replacement of reflective striping after specified cleanings, and discounts on additional items/services - Notable Requirements: - Proposers must have at least three years of relevant experience and be licensed in Washington State - Ability to provide OEM-equivalent products is acceptable - Reflective striping must be replaced after a set number of cleanings - Contracts may be awarded to multiple vendors on a non-exclusive, optional-use basis - Estimated annual expenditure is $600,000 - Initial contract term is five years, with an option to renew for an additional five years

Description

The City of Spokane is soliciting proposals from firms to provide garment and linen rental and laundry services under a master contract format. The services include providing garments, mats, towels, rags, alterations, pick-up, delivery, laundering, and other related tasks to support the City's needs. Multiple non-exclusive master contracts may be awarded, and the contract period is five years with an option to renew for an additional five years. Proposals must be submitted electronically through the City's ProcureWare portal by June 1, 2026.
