Charlotte Water is seeking qualified engineering firms to provide construction administration and inspection services for the Mallard Creek Water and Wastewater Resource Facility (WWRF) Solids Handling Improvement Project. - Government Buyer: - Charlotte Water (City of Charlotte, North Carolina) - Scope of Services: - Construction administration and inspection for upgrades to the Mallard Creek WWRF - Oversight of installation and improvement of: - Spiral heat exchangers - Recirculation pumps, sludge transfer pumps, feed pumps, hot water feed pumps - Gas treatment systems and new waste biogas flare - New e-house, boiler building, and boilers - Digester building improvements (trench drains, doors, guardrails, handrails, hoist, concrete repairs, HVAC, water piping, vents) - Full rehabilitation of existing drying beds - Notable Requirements: - Firms must submit E-Verify, debarment, and anti-lobbying certifications - CBI Participation Plan required - Proof of professional licensing for engineers or architects in North Carolina - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - The project is focused on municipal water and wastewater facility improvements

Description

Charlotte Water is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from qualified engineering companies to provide construction administration and inspection services for the Mallard Creek WWRF Solids Handling Improvement Project. The project involves construction components such as spiral heat exchangers, various pumps, gas treatment, a new waste biogas flare, new buildings including an e-house and boiler building, and digester building improvements. Full rehabilitation of the existing drying beds is also included. The construction will be bid in the summer of 2026 following final design completion.
