The City of Fredericton is seeking proposals from pre-qualified contractors for the Westmorland Street Infrastructure Renewal project, a major municipal infrastructure upgrade. - Government Buyer: - City of Fredericton, Procurement Division - Project managed by City Hall, 397 Queen Street, Fredericton, NB - Scope of Work: - Supply and installation of approximately 12 metres of 250 mm ductile iron water main and 136 metres of 250 mm sanitary sewer main - Installation of 357 metres of storm sewer in various sizes (including 1500 mm, 1200 mm, 600 mm, 450 mm, 375 mm, 300 mm, 250 mm, 200 mm, 150 mm, 100 mm) - Additional civil works: manholes, catch basins, granular base and subbase, asphalt paving (multiple types), concrete curbs and sidewalks, multi-use trail, brick paver course, and tree pit systems - Electrical and lighting infrastructure: decorative and cobra head light pole bases, traffic signal pole bases, stainless steel lighting control cabinets, concrete encased electrical conduit trench - Traffic and signage: traffic sign/parking meter post sleeves and baseplates, overhead signage pole foundation, construction signage and traffic control - Landscaping: topsoil, hydroseed, landscaping maintenance, tree removal/pruning, environmental sampling - Specialized work: cash allowance for plumbing inside Civic #82, utility coordination, environmental sampling if required - Products/Services Requested: - Ductile iron water mains (Class 52), PVC sanitary and storm sewer pipes (DR35), gate valves, fire hydrants, curb stops - Decorative street lighting poles and LED luminaires with GFCI receptacles and surge protection - Lighting control cabinets (WQ, WK, NQ), traffic signal pole bases (764mm) - Concrete sidewalks, brick paver courses, multi-use trail - Notable Requirements: - Contractors must be pre-qualified under Prequalification No. P22-43 or refresher P23-53, Category A - Compliance with City of Fredericton Supplier Code of Conduct and municipal specifications - Bid bond (10% of contract price), performance guarantees, and insurance required - Coordination with local utilities and phased construction to maintain access - Quantities are estimated; bidders must bid on all items - No specific OEMs or proprietary brands are mandated, but ductile iron pipe (Class 52), PVC DR35, and specified LED lighting are required - Work to be performed along Westmorland Street (Queen Street to King Street), including intersections and adjacent civic properties
