Description
This cooperative agreement under the Alzheimer’s Disease Programs Initiative (ADPI) aims to expand and strengthen supports for family caregivers by providing dementia-specific respite services through the National Aging Services Network. The program targets unpaid family caregivers of individuals with probable Alzheimer's disease or related dementia (ADRD), including younger-onset dementia cases under age 60. The goal is to reduce caregiver burden and delay institutionalization by offering respite relief. States will partner with Area Agencies on Aging to coordinate these services, with funds awarded to State Units on Aging for program implementation and evaluation.
