The Incorporated Village of Hempstead is seeking bids for the supply and delivery of 45,000 gallons of Liquid Caustic Soda 50% Membrane Grade for water treatment at its facilities. - Government Buyer: - Incorporated Village of Hempstead, Office of the Treasurer, Purchasing Department - Product Requested: - 45,000 gallons of Liquid Caustic Soda (Sodium Hydroxide), 50% Membrane Grade - Must meet AWWA Standard Specifications B-501-88 (49%-52% NaOH content) - Product must be domestically manufactured and delivered in sealed containers - Supplier must be NSF 60 Certified - Delivery Requirements: - Deliveries as needed throughout the contract year - Minimum delivery of 1,000 gallons per site per delivery - Delivery to two water plants: 115 Laurel Avenue and 320 Clinton Street, Hempstead, NY - Rear discharge tanker trucks required for all deliveries - Notable Requirements: - Bidders must submit a certified check or bid bond of at least 5% of the base bid - All products must be new and domestic unless otherwise specified - Prior contracts for similar requirements have been awarded to Univar - Contract Term: - One-year contract with possible extensions up to two additional years (one year at a time), subject to mutual agreement and unchanged terms

The Incorporated Village of Hempstead is soliciting sealed bids to furnish and deliver 45,000 gallons of Liquid Caustic Soda 50% Membrane Grade. Deliveries are to be made as needed within the fiscal year June 2026 to May 2027, with a minimum delivery of 1,000 gallons per site at Laurel Ave. and Clinton St. Rear discharge tanker trucks are required for delivery. Bidders must submit a certified check or bid bond of at least 5% of the base bid. Bids are due by May 14, 2026, and will be opened publicly at the Village office in Hempstead, NY.
