This opportunity seeks contractors to provide comprehensive packing, containerization, and local drayage services for the Army at Fort Benning, supporting the Logistics Readiness Center's mission for soldier relocations. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Army, Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Fort Benning - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) or named vendors are identified in the solicitation or attachments - Products/Services Requested: - Packing, containerization, and local drayage services for household goods (HHG) and unaccompanied baggage - Services include: - Premove surveys, packing, loading, bracing, inventorying, tagging, wrapping, padding, weighing, marking, strapping, and drayage - Handling of overflow, oversize, and valuable items - Storage of containerized articles - Assembly/disassembly, remarking, coopering, and claims processing - Use of containers meeting ASTM-D4169-14, ASTM-D6251, or SDDC Pamphlet 55-12 specifications - Both government- and contractor-furnished containers - Domestic and international shipments - Unique or Notable Requirements: - All containers must meet specific ASTM or SDDC standards - Contractor must provide proof of capability for each CLIN line in the Pricing Schedule - Set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns (SDVOSBC) - Contractor must handle all aspects of preparation, packing, containerization, and local drayage as detailed in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) - Timely pickup/delivery, accurate invoicing, and proper claims processing are required - Place of Performance: - Fort Benning, Georgia (primary military base) - Residences of DoD personnel, contractor facilities, government offices, and federal/military terminals

Description

Logistics Readiness Center has the mission of providing transportation and logistic Support Services to provide moving services in the local area to Fort Benning soldiers. The goal is to support mission accomplishment by providing preparation, packing, loading and containerization of local moves for Fort Benning soldiers. To meet this goal, close coordination is required between the Contractor and Contracting Officer’s representative (COR) to efficiently provide transportation & Logistics Services. The contractor will perform all preparation and packing, provide all exterior containerization services and local drayage.
