Description
The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 21 (NCO21), 6900 North Pecos Road, North Las Vegas, NV 89086, intends to negotiate a sole source Firm-Fixed Price, 14-day contract to a single source as the anticipated award price is below the Micro Purchase Threshold (MPT) and only one responsible source is known to be capable of meeting the requirement. The contract is for inspection and drop testing of rolling fire doors in Building 520 at VA Palo Alto Healthcare System (VAPAHCS) Main Campus. The vendor has extensive and documented experience performing maintenance, repairs, and prior inspections on the facility s existing rolling fire doors and is familiar with the specific operational configuration of these units. Due to this existing knowledge base, the use of this vendor will ensure continuity of service, reduce risk of improper testing, and avoid duplication of costs associated with onboarding a new contractor. The government intends to award the contract on 05/06/2026 to Vortex Industries, LLC, 20 Odyssey, Irvine, CA 92618 SAM UEI: JKJJEEY5WLM9 CAGE CODE: 02FP4. The Period of Performance will be 05/08/2026-05/22/2026. This synopsis announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive proposals. If a firm believes it is capable of meeting the Government's requirement to perform services on the equipment, it may identify their interest and capability to the Contracting Officer within two (2) calendar days of this publication by contacting John Waldrip via email at john.waldrip@va.gov.
