SJRA Solicits Proposals for Water Well Rehabilitation and Pump Equipment Replacement

The San Jacinto River Authority (SJRA) is seeking proposals for the rehabilitation and equipment replacement of Water Well Nos. 3 and 13 in The Woodlands, Texas. - Government Buyer: - San Jacinto River Authority (SJRA), Woodlands Division - Project Scope: - Rehabilitation and/or replacement of pumping equipment for two water wells - Includes contractor mobilization, site fencing and sound wall disassembly/reassembly, and site restoration - Removal, inspection, and reinstallation of motors, discharge heads, and pump assemblies - Well cleaning: oil disposal, wire brushing, jetting, chlorine and acid treatments (including 1,000 gallons of 15% Hydrochloric Acid per well) - Video surveys and performance testing with vibration analysis - Installation of new vertical turbine pump bowl assemblies (Fusion-Bonded Epoxy coated, stainless steel shafts) - Replacement and installation of column pipes (10-inch diameter, 0.365-inch wall thickness, various lengths), water-level measuring pipes (1-1/2-inch PVC, up to 1,520 feet), tension nut and plate assemblies, and zinc anodes for corrosion protection - Installation and commissioning of all equipment, including new column adapter flanges, air lines, pressure gauges, and lubrication kits - Products/Services Requested: - Vertical turbine permanent pump bowl assemblies for each well (1,300 gpm at 695 ft TDH for Well 3; 1,500 gpm at 750 ft TDH for Well 13) - Large quantities of column pipe, water-level measuring pipes, and associated hardware - Well rehabilitation services: cleaning, chemical treatments, video surveys, and performance testing - Site restoration and sound attenuation - Notable Requirements: - All new pump bowl stages must be Fusion-Bonded Epoxy coated - Stainless steel components specified for corrosion resistance - Mandatory pre-proposal conference and electronic proposal submission - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation; vertical turbine pump manufacturers are likely to be key suppliers - Estimated Construction Cost: - $973,000 - Place of Performance: - Water Well No. 3: 36 Secluded Trail Drive, The Woodlands, TX - Water Well No. 13: 6698 Alden Bridge Drive, The Woodlands, TX - SJRA Woodlands Division Training Room (contracting office): 2436 Sawdust Rd, The Woodlands, TX 77380 - SJRA main facility: 1577 Dam Site Road, Conroe, TX 77304
