HUD is seeking applications for the FY 2025 Rural Capacity Building for Community Development and Affordable Housing Grants (RCB): - Government Buyer: - Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) - Purpose: - Enhance the capacity of rural housing development organizations, Community Development Corporations (CDCs), Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs), rural local governments, and Indian tribes - Focus on affordable housing and community development for low- and moderate-income families in rural areas - Eligible Applicants: - National Organizations that are 501(c)(3) nonprofits (excluding institutions of higher education) with experience in rural areas - Products/Services Requested: - Capacity-building services, including: - Training and education - Organizational assessments and strategic planning - Technological improvements - Stakeholder engagement - Performance evaluation and regional planning - Financial assistance - Other activities as determined in consultation with HUD - Funding Details: - Total funding: $6,000,000 - Expected awards: 5 - Award range: $750,000 to $3,500,000 - Unique Requirements: - No matching funds required - No specific OEMs or vendors; this is a grant for services, not product procurement

Description

The Rural Capacity Building program aims to enhance the capacity of rural housing development organizations, Community Development Corporations, Community Housing Development Organizations, rural local governments, and Indian tribes to carry out affordable housing and community development activities benefiting low- and moderate-income families in rural areas. The program funds National Organizations with expertise in rural housing and community development to build the capacity of eligible beneficiaries. Eligible activities include training, education, support, financial assistance, and other activities determined in consultation with the Secretary. Only National Organizations that are 501(c)(3) nonprofits with relevant experience in rural areas are eligible to apply.
