Description

The FAA proposes a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus SAS Model A330-200 and A330-300 series airplanes modified by a specific supplemental type certificate (STC). The AD addresses an unsafe condition where the flightcrew oxygen system supplied by a single oxygen cylinder is insufficient for extended operations (ETOPS) with four flightcrew members. The proposed AD requires revising the Airplane Flight Manual Supplement (AFM-S) to limit ETOPS-180 operations to three flightcrew members and correct minimum oxygen dispatch pressure information. Comments on the proposal are due by June 15, 2026.
