Description

The Alaska Department of Natural Resources has received a Multi-Agency Application for Permits to Mine in Alaska (APMA) for mechanical placer mining in the Fairbanks Mining District near Chatanika. The application is for a Plan of Operation Approval pursuant to 11 AAC 86.800 for mechanical placer mining and reclamation approval on state lands. The project is named the Cleary Creek Project and involves mining activities on Cleary Creek in specified sections of Township 3 North, Range 1 East, Fairbanks Meridian. The proposed mining activity is scheduled to start upon authorization issuance and end on December 31, 2030, unless extended.
