Description
The Department of Public Safety Canada is seeking specialized professional advisory services to support Canada's participation and leadership in the international COSPAS-SARSAT Programme. The services include strategic, technical, governance, and negotiation support to the Canadian Permanent Representative, preparation for international meetings, development of Canadian positions, and modernization negotiations. The contractor will support COSPAS-SARSAT meetings, draft and analyze papers, develop delegation instructions, advise during deliberations, and contribute to records and reports. The contractor may also act as an impartial Chair for governance meetings and provide expert advice on MEOSAR, Second Generation Beacons, Return Link Service, and ICAO Autonomous Distress Tracking. The contract duration is 24 months starting from May 18, 2026.
