Description

The Embassy of the United States in Madrid will issue a solicitation for cleaning services for the Office of Commerce in Madrid, Spain.  The Contractor shall perform services in all designated spaces including, but not limited to, halls, offices, restrooms, work areas, entrance ways, lobbies, storage areas, etc.   The Contractor shall furnish all managerial, administrative, and direct labor personnel necessary to accomplish the work in this contract.  Contractor employees shall be on site only for contractual duties and not for other business purposes.

The anticipated performance period is for one base year, with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government.  All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered.

The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the lowest priced technically acceptable offeror who is a responsible contractor.  The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion.  The resultant contract will be a firm fixed-price type contract.

In accordance with DOSAR 652.242-73 AUTHORIZATION AND PERFORMANCE (AUG 1999), all contractors must be bonded and possess all permits and licenses required to do business in Spain.  All offerors will be required to provide proof that they already possess said permits as part of their offer.

All contractors have to be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to contract award pursuant to FAR provisions 52.204-7.  The guidelines for registration can be found at https://www.fsd.gov/gsafsd_sp
