Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab), under the Department of Energy, is seeking a qualified subcontractor for the construction of the Mu2e Asphalt Pad and associated improvements at its Batavia, Illinois campus. - Government Buyer: - Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (DOE), Fermi Forward Discovery Group, and Infrastructure Services Division - Key contacts include Dasia Guthrie (Procurement) and Brian Rubik (Project Management) - Scope of Work: - Complete construction of a new asphalt pad (Mu2e Asphalt Pad) adjacent to the MC-2 (Mu2e) building - Includes earth excavation, backfilling, storm sewer construction (reinforced concrete and HDPE pipes), asphalt binder and surface course installation, concrete curb and sidewalk construction, and installation of an electrical grounding system - Removal of existing gravel and protection of existing site fixtures (e.g., light poles) - All labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, safety oversight, quality control, and documentation required - Compliance with Illinois Department of Transportation standards, IEEE and NEC standards for electrical work, and Buy American requirements - Strict safety, quality control, and certified payroll documentation required - Products/Services Requested: - Construction services for asphalt paving, storm sewer, concrete, and electrical grounding - No specific OEMs, part numbers, or commercial products are specified; all materials and equipment to be provided by the subcontractor - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Small business set-aside under NAICS 324121 (asphalt paving) - Firm fixed price contract - Key personnel must have relevant construction experience - Wage determinations, bid guarantees, and certified payrolls required - Project must be completed within 60 calendar days from Notice to Proceed - Place of Performance: - Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab), Batavia, Illinois, specifically the MU2E Project Area and MC-2 (Mu2e) building

Description

The Subcontractor shall perform all work as described in the Statement of Work for the Mu2e Asphalt Pad included as Exhibit A.  All work shall include transportation, overhead, bonding costs, insurance, safety oversight, quality control oversight, and supervision as required to construct the project described in the scope of work, and the detailed description contained herein.
