Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Solicitation number 12363N26Q4101 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for The Sleep Dog DxP IRSC. This procurement is restricted to the approved companies eligible for call orders under the R2 Rocky Mountain Restoration Project BPA for the San Juan National Forest in the state of Colorado.  This requirement may be awarded to one vendor as a BPA Call Order against BPA's previously solicited on the Government Point of Entry (GPE). The government will not provide feedback or evaluations to companies regarding their submissions in response to this notice that are not eligible for awards under the R2 Rocky Mountain Restoration Project BPA.

This project consists of conducting fuels reduction activities to include but not limited to: Cutting of sawtimber-sized trees, and the removal of material that meets the minimum tree specifications as identified in Appendix B from the treatment area and treat resulting slash. The purpose of this project is to better ensure public and firefighter safety through reduced fuel loading, to improve habitat for native wildlife species, and to aid in the return of ecological function and resilience. Land management objectives for the project area are summarized as follows:  Increase forest resiliency, Increase age class diversity, Promote recovery of forest vegetation, Reduce the risk of high severity wildfires, and Provide wood products for both commercial and non-commercial uses. This BPA call will be issued against the Rocky Mountain Restoration Project  BPA when ordered by warranted contracting personnel. The resultant contract will be a commercial services contract with requirements for timber removal. The period of performance of this contract is from date of award through November  30th 2029 .

This acquisition  is set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 113310  The small business size standard is 500 employees  This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.
