Kaibab National Forest RV Pad and Utility Rehabilitation Services

The USDA Forest Service is seeking construction services to upgrade and rehabilitate RV trailer pads and associated utilities at multiple administrative sites within the Kaibab National Forest in Northern Arizona. - Government Buyer: - USDA Forest Service, Southwest Region (CSA Southwest 7), Kaibab National Forest - Scope of Work: - Rehabilitation of 11 RV camping pads (base scope) at Tanglefoot Work Center and Tusayan Ranger Station - Includes clearing, subgrade preparation, gravel placement, compaction - Replacement of water and sewer connections, limited replacement of water and sewer lines - Replacement and upgrade of electrical components on existing service pedestals - Optional work: - Rehabilitation of 13 additional RV pads at Jacob Lake Work Center and Big Springs Work Center - Subsurface utility locating, television inspection, and flow testing of existing septic system - Replacement of septic tank and leach field - Installation or replacement of propane lines and connections for 24 RV pads - Additional water and sewer line replacements, water meter installations - Electrical line extensions - Requirements and Deliverables: - Compliance with local and national construction codes - Performance bonds and a one-year warranty required - Deliverables include quality control plans, construction schedules, and as-built drawings - Contractor schedules negotiable with some seasonal restrictions due to weather and site access - No specific OEMs or proprietary products are named; the procurement is for general construction and utility improvement services - Locations: - Tanglefoot Work Center (Fredonia, AZ) - Tusayan Ranger Station (Grand Canyon, AZ) - Jacob Lake Work Center (Jacob Lake, AZ) - Big Springs Work Center (near Jacob Lake, AZ) - USDA Forest Service Coconino National Forest Supervisor's Office (Flagstaff, AZ) (delivery location) - USDA-FS CSA Southwest 7 (Albuquerque, NM) (contracting office)

Description

Trailer pad utility upgrades and improvements for the North Kaibab and Tusayan Ranger Districts - Housing & Utility upgrades (on-site housing for firefighters and staff).

This project will consist of the rehabilitation of eleven (11) RV camping pads, six (6) at the Tanglefoot Work Center and five (5) at Tusayan Ranger Station. Pad rehabilitation consists of clearing overgrown pads; subgrade preparation, new gravel placement and compaction for parking pads; replacement of water and sewer connections; limited replacement of water and sewer lines; and replacement of electrical components on existing electrical service pedestals.

This project also includes optional work items for the rehabilitation of an additional thirteen (13) RV pads, eight (8) at Jacob Lake Work Center and five (5) at Big Springs Work Center; subsurface utility locating; television inspection and flow testing of an existing septic system; replacement of septic tank and leach field; replacement or installation of propane lines and connections for twenty-four (24) RV pads; and additional water and sewer line replacement.
