Sole Source Pyxis Server Upgrade for VA VISN 15 Medical Centers

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 15 is announcing a planned sole source procurement for Pyxis Server Upgrades at VISN 15 medical centers. - Carefusion Solutions, LLC (a BD company) is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and only authorized provider for these proprietary upgrades - The procurement covers: - Custom computer programming services (NAICS 541511, PSC 7B22) - Software, licensing, server components, configuration, installation, integration, testing, and validation for Pyxis supply station systems - Upgrades to ensure compatibility with Windows 11 and Windows Server 2025 - Installation and support services by BD-certified technicians to maintain warranties and equipment integrity - Work will be performed at Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 15 facilities (medical centers) - Interested vendors must submit a capabilities statement and an authorized distributor letter from Carefusion Solutions, LLC to be considered - No competitive solicitation will be issued unless viable responses are received - Responses are due by May 6, 2026, 11:00 am Central Time - The contracting office is located at 3450 S 4th Street Trafficway, Leavenworth, KS 66048

Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 15 intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c) (1) FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to Carefusion Solutions, LLC, located at 3750 Torrey View Court, San Diego, CA 92130.
Carefusion Solutions, LLC, will provide the Pyxis Server Upgrades, to the existing Pyxis supply systems. The Pyxis system is proprietary and may only be upgraded by Carefusion Solutions, LLC. The place of performance is for the Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 15 facilities The NAICS code is 541511 Custom Computer Programming Services, with a size standard of $34 Million, and PSC 7B22. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations; interested parties may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement and authorized distributor letter from the OEM No Later Than 05/06/2026 at 11:00 am Central Time. The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required services. A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Response shall be submitted via email referencing the Special Notice - 36C25526Q0347 in the subject line to veronica.flores@va.gov. If after 05/06/2026, no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement, the Department of Veterans Affairs shall negotiate solely with Carefusion Solutions, LLC.
