Lake County Department of Social Services (Child Welfare Services) is seeking proposals for comprehensive drug and alcohol laboratory testing services to support child welfare cases. - Government Buyer: - County of Lake Department of Social Services, Child Welfare Services - Products/Services Requested: - Laboratory testing of urine and oral saliva specimens for a broad panel of substances, including but not limited to: cocaine, marijuana/THC, PCP, amphetamines, opiates, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, buprenorphine, methadone, propoxyphene, ecstasy/MDMA, oxycodone, alcohol/ethyl glucuronide, synthetic marijuana, fentanyl, bath salts, designer stimulants, and others as needed - Quantitative and qualitative confirmation of positive results using GC/MS, LC/MS, or GC/FID methods - Provision of all necessary collection materials and supplies - Timely reporting of results to the agency - Expert witness services for forensic toxicology and drug testing as required - Notable Requirements: - Vendors must be able to provide both initial screening and confirmation testing - Ability to supply all collection materials and handle logistics for specimen collection - Must offer expert witness testimony if needed - Encouragement for proposers to identify and leverage additional funding sources or cost-sharing arrangements - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation; open to all qualified laboratory service providers.

Description

The Lake County Department of Social Services (LCDSS), Child Welfare Services (CWS), is soliciting proposals from qualified business organizations to provide drug and alcohol laboratory testing services. The contract period is from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2029, with a maximum expenditure of $70,000 per fiscal year.
