Description
The City of Ames Electric Services Department is soliciting bids for substation transformer maintenance and repair services specifically for DA6T2 Load Tap Changer (LTC) repair and "U" bushing replacement. The work is scheduled to occur during May - June 2026 or September - November 2026. Priority will be given to bidders who can complete the project within the specified timeframe. The City will provide certain parts and equipment such as the 3 - 69kV U Type bushings, LTC oil storage, LTC parts, and a crane with operator. The contractor is responsible for labor, parts, equipment, scaffolding, and oil processing as specified in the scope of work.
