Description
The State of Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mining, Land, and Water, Northern Regional Land Office, has issued a public notice regarding a lease application by Colville Solid Waste, LLC for five acres of state land near the Alpine Service Area in Prudhoe Bay for solid waste staging. The department proposes to proceed with a negotiated lease process to Worley for this site and recommends issuing a 20-year public and charitable lease to Colville Solid Waste, LLC. The public is invited to comment on the project during the public notice period ending May 27, 2026. The lease includes development of a gravel pad, temporary structures, and storage of dumpsters for solid waste transfer.
