The City of Lakeland Water Utilities Engineering is requesting proposals from qualified and experienced contractors for the construction of a 16-inch potable water main extension. This extension will connect an existing 16-inch water main on the west side of Bartow Rd (US Highway 98) approximately 1,700 linear feet northwest of the intersection with East County Road 540A. The extension will reach the proposed Lakeland, City of Bartow, and Polk County Utilities potable water interconnect site located at 4250 E County Road 540A. The interconnect facility is a separate joint project and will be constructed independently of this water main extension.
