The City of Allen Police Department is seeking qualified vendors to provide comprehensive vehicle upfitting and emergency equipment installation services for its fleet. - Government Buyer: - City of Allen, Police Department - Products and Services Requested: - Fleet upfitting installation and removal services for police vehicles, including patrol, administrative, and motorcycle units - Installation and removal of emergency equipment packages and a la carte components such as: - Push bumpers (M40 or grille lights [ION]) - Headlight flashers, deck lights, light bars - Center consoles, sirens and switch boxes - Radios with antennas, cameras (including Motorola M500), computers, prisoner barriers, gun racks, K-9 systems, radar, graphics, and more - Specialized motorcycle equipment (radios, Setcom, camera systems, radar) - Installation/removal of antennas (cell, data, GPS, multi-use, radio) - K-9 Hot Dog & Bail Out systems, storage vaults, prisoner transport systems - Labor for non-contract services, consumables, and trip/mileage fees - All equipment must be labeled with unit numbers and serial numbers recorded - Notable Requirements: - All new automotive-rated wiring must be used (reuse of stripped vehicle wiring is prohibited) - Police packages must include radio rebroadcast and horn ring functions - A la carte pricing for certain items (e.g., cameras, graphics, computers, prisoner barriers, gun racks) - Warranty on parts and labor required - Discount off manufacturer price sheets for any brand - OEMs and Brands Mentioned: - Motorola (M500 camera system) - References to M40, ION, and Cradlepoint suggest possible equipment brands/models, but no exclusive OEMs mandated - Locations: - All work to be performed for the City of Allen, Texas Police Department
