NASA is seeking to procure advanced cardiopulmonary exercise metabolic testing equipment and related services for use at the Johnson Space Center in support of Artemis 4 research: - Government Buyer: - National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) - NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) and Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center - OEMs and Vendors: - COSMED USA INC is identified as the sole source provider for the Cardiopulmonary Exercise Metabolic Testing Device - Products/Services Requested: - Cardiopulmonary Exercise Metabolic Testing Devices (at least 3 units total) - Calibration kits, flowmeters, mask adapters, spare masks (various sizes), spare flowmeters - System workstation computers, laptops, system software, USB connector hubs - Metabolic gas mixing chambers, ECG cables, ECG interpretation software - Pulse oximeters and probes, blood pressure monitors, integration modules, connector cables - Device installation and training services - Notable Requirements: - Equipment and services are to support HHC Exploration Altitude research for Artemis 4 in specialized NASA laboratories - Sole source justification is based on COSMED USA INC being the only provider for the required device - Delivery and installation at NASA Johnson Space Center's Building 21 Performance Wing Laboratories - The procurement is being conducted under commercial item procedures (FAR Part 12) and NAICS code 339112 - NASA will consider capability statements from other vendors to determine if competition is warranted
