Description
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has issued Subsequent Renewed Facility Operating License No. DPR-23 to Duke Energy Progress, LLC for H.B. Robinson Steam Electric Plant, Unit 2. The NRC has also prepared a record of decision supporting the issuance of this license renewal. The license authorizes operation at a reactor core power level not exceeding 2,339 megawatts thermal. The NRC's environmental review concluded that the adverse environmental impacts of the subsequent license renewal are not so great as to be unreasonable for energy-planning decisionmakers.
