Description

This interim final rule by the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) under the Department of Commerce implements Framework Adjustment 19 to the Summer Flounder, Scup, and Black Sea Bass Fishery Management Plan and Framework Adjustment 7 to the Bluefish Fishery Management Plan. The rule makes limited revisions to the process for setting recreational management measures and recreational accountability measures for summer flounder, scup, black sea bass, and bluefish. It aims to improve management results, provide stability and predictability for fishery participants, and maintain flexibility in recreational fisheries. Public comments are requested by May 28, 2026.
