Funding can be used for conservation activities including management efforts, scientific research, and public education and outreach. Proposals should address priority actions in ESA Recovery Plans or Recovery Outlines and focus on listed species, candidate species, recently delisted species, or species proposed for listing under the Endangered Species Act. Certain proposals, such as those focusing on Pacific salmonids or marine mammal stranding response, are excluded from this program.
