The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, is seeking a cooperative agreement for invertebrate habitat modeling and enhancement at Fort Carson and Pinon Canyon Maneuver Site in Colorado. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District (Department of the Army) - Scope of Work: - Comprehensive arthropod (invertebrate) surveys using both active (aerial netting, kick net) and passive (malaise traps, blacklight trapping) sampling techniques - Specimen preparation, identification, voucher creation, and photography - Targeted sampling for nine ESA-listed or reviewed species, including monarch and bumble bees - Geospatial data collection in ESRI-compatible formats - Development of habitat models and management recommendations for species of concern - Delivery of GIS data, species lists, habitat models, and technical reports - Notable Requirements: - Only members of the Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Units (CESU) in the Californian, Colorado Plateau, Rocky Mountain, and Great Plains regions are eligible - Cooperator must provide all field sampling equipment and supplies for specimen storage and preparation - Active NIST SP 800-171 DOD assessment required for all recipients, subrecipients, and contract vendors - Compliance with Army security and access protocols - CESU indirect rate set at 17.5% - No cost sharing or matching required - Period of Performance: - Base period of 18 months (12 months technical, 6 months administrative) - Up to four additional 18-month follow-on periods possible, contingent on funding and performance - Funding: - Anticipated base funding of $326,000 - Maximum award up to $1,750,000 - Places of Performance: - Fort Carson, Colorado (military base) - Pinon Canyon Maneuver Site, Colorado (military base) - Contracting office: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, Fort Worth, TX
