Description
The NAWCA U.S. Small Grants Program aims to promote partnerships between public agencies and groups to protect, improve, restore, and manage wetland ecosystems and habitats for wetland-associated migratory birds and other fish and wildlife in the U.S. The program supports maintaining and improving the distribution and abundance of wetlands-associated migratory bird populations consistent with various conservation plans. It requires a 1:1 non-federal match and excludes research projects. The program is administered by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Division of Bird Habitat Conservation and involves review by the North American Wetlands Conservation Council.
