Description
This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) provides funding under two programs: Youth Homelessness System Improvement (YHSI) grants and Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP) grants. The programs aim to demonstrate comprehensive approaches to serving homeless youth age 24 and under, addressing housing and related service needs such as health, substance use, and employment barriers. HUD will select approximately 50 communities for YHSI grants to establish or improve youth homelessness response systems, and between 26 and 50 communities for YHDP grants to implement housing and service projects, prioritizing rural areas. Selected communities must participate in HUD evaluation activities and may receive technical assistance.
