Description
The Transforming Pediatrics for Early Childhood Program (TPEC) aims to advance early childhood health by placing early childhood development experts in local pediatric practices to deliver team-based care. The program focuses on screening families for mental health, housing, nutrition, and child development needs, building nurturing caregiver-child relationships, educating caregivers on developmental milestones, and ensuring access to referrals and specialized support. Recipients will improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of pediatric primary care through this comprehensive approach. The program targets organizations with statewide or tribal reach and supports the prevention of chronic disease early in life and promotion of healthy development in early childhood.
