Description
The Emergency Medical Services for Children National Pediatric Readiness Coordinating Center (EMSC NPRCC) demonstration program aims to assess and expand Pediatric Readiness in hospital emergency departments and pre-hospital emergency medical services systems. It focuses on ensuring that EMS and fire-rescue agencies and emergency departments have the pediatric-specific leadership, competencies, policies, equipment, and resources needed to provide high-quality emergency care for children across the United States. The program addresses the unique physiological, emotional, and developmental needs of children in emergency care settings.
