Description
The U.S. Department of State's Embassy Lome announces an open competition for the Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) program. This initiative provides foreign assistance to alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs, supporting projects that advance the Administration's America First foreign policy priorities. The program seeks proposals that strengthen U.S. national security, promote economic growth, and reinforce the rule of law in Togo. Eligible applicants are teams of alumni who will design and implement projects addressing strategic challenges such as unlawful migration to the United States, entrepreneurship, energy independence, and countering malign foreign influence, while fostering strong U.S.-Togo ties. Projects must demonstrate measurable impact, sustainability, and clear alignment with U.S. interests, including supporting recipient country self-reliance, reduced dependency on U.S. taxpayer resources, and the advancement of free enterprise.
