Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), requests applications for the fiscal year 2026 Specialty Crop Block Grant Program (SCBGP) to award grants to eligible State departments of agriculture. The grants aim to carry out projects that enhance the competitiveness of specialty crops, including marketing, research and development, expanding availability, and addressing challenges faced by specialty crop producers. Eligible applicants are State departments of agriculture in the 50 States and U.S. territories. The program funding is approximately $86.6 million with an expected 56 awards. Applications must be submitted electronically by June 8, 2026, at 11:59 pm Eastern Time.
