Description

The Special Education Parent Information Centers program aims to ensure that parents of children with disabilities receive high-quality, relevant training and information to improve outcomes for their children. Community Parent Resource Centers (CPRCs) promote effective education by strengthening the role of parents and ensuring meaningful family participation in education. CPRCs serve families in geographically defined communities experiencing significant isolation from information and support. The program requires CPRCs to increase parents' capacity to help their children meet developmental, functional, and academic goals and prepare for productive adult lives.
